Understanding the TMGU Course Flow

Provider Lifecycle Professionals do not build careers through a single class or a single exam window. Strong careers are built intentionally over time through foundational knowledge, applied experience, professional validation, and continued growth.

That understanding is what shapes TMG University.

TMGU does not offer disconnected courses or short term training built around a moment. Our education is structured as a career aligned path that supports professionals from their earliest learning through leadership, specialization, and long term impact. This approach reflects how real careers develop in provider lifecycle work and how successful professionals grow with confidence and purpose.

What follows is the framework that guides our education and the professionals who learn with us.

Level 1 Foundations

Building confidence and credibility

Every professional journey begins with understanding. Level 1 establishes the core knowledge and shared professional language required to work confidently in licensing, credentialing, provider enrollment, and quality. This stage creates clarity around roles, responsibilities, and expectations while grounding learners in the principles that guide compliant and effective practice.

For many professionals, Level 1 is where uncertainty is replaced with confidence and where work begins to make sense within the larger healthcare system. It provides the stability and perspective that every strong career is built upon.

Credentialing professionals begin with
Foundations of Credentialing,
a course that develops both theory and practical understanding of medical staff services and provider lifecycle services.

Provider enrollment professionals begin with
Foundations of Provider Enrollment,
a six week program that introduces the systems, workflows, and payer expectations that support successful enrollment operations.

Level 2 Intermediate

From knowing to doing

Once foundational understanding is in place, professionals move into applied practice. Level 2 focuses on workflows, accuracy, and real world execution. This is where knowledge becomes operational and professionals begin to develop sound judgment through experience.

This stage is where professionals gain ownership of their role. Workflows become familiar. Decisions become more confident. Learning is reinforced through application, and professionals begin to see how their work impacts providers, organizations, and patient care.

Level 3 Certification Prep

Validation for what comes next

Certification represents an important professional milestone. Level 3 supports professionals as they prepare for certification by strengthening understanding, judgment, and professional readiness.

TMGU certification preparation is built around the realities of provider lifecycle work. Instruction emphasizes context and application so preparation aligns with the way professionals actually work, not just what they need to recall. Many learners describe this stage as the point where concepts connect, confidence grows, and preparation becomes focused and purposeful.

Credentialing professionals prepare through
CPCS Certification Preparation Courses,
CPMSM Certification Preparation Courses,
and
Certification Boot Camps
offered in live and on demand formats.

Provider enrollment professionals may pursue certification through external credentialing organizations. TMGU supports preparation through targeted educational resources such as
PESC Certificate Exam Preparation,
which focuses on core enrollment knowledge and CMS based requirements.

At this level, certification serves as validation of experience and readiness. It marks a meaningful checkpoint in a professional career and often opens the door to expanded responsibility and opportunity.

Level 4 Post Certification Advancement

Expanding influence

After certification, growth continues. Level 4 supports the transition from task focused execution to strategic contribution. Education at this stage broadens perspective and prepares professionals to think beyond individual tasks and into systems, leadership, and organizational impact.

Credentialing professionals advance through the
Executive Provider Lifecycle Professional (EPLP)
program, previously known as the Executive Medical Staff Professional program.

Provider enrollment professionals advance through the
Executive Provider Enrollment Professional (EPEP)
program.

These offerings support professionals who are ready to expand influence, strengthen decision making, and prepare for leadership roles within their organizations.

This is where careers begin to accelerate with intention.

Level 5 Leadership and Specialization

Shaping the future

Leadership and specialization develop over time and with purpose. Level 5 is designed for senior professionals who want to lead teams, mentor others, shape processes, and contribute to the future of provider lifecycle work.

Programs at this level include the
Certificate in Leadership Excellence,
which builds mastery across leadership competencies such as communication, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and team development, and the
Certified Physician Licensure Specialist
program, which prepares professionals for advanced licensure focused roles through intensive, practical education.

This stage supports long term career sustainability and influence.

Continuous Education

Growth at every stage

Learning does not stop at any level. TMGU offers
Live Webinars,
Educational Series,
and
On Demand Education
that support professionals across the entire career lifecycle. Continuous education allows learners to stay current, deepen expertise, and continue growing as the industry evolves.

Professional Alignment Micro-Credentials

Role and environment specific learning

Some professional roles require targeted knowledge aligned to specific care environments or organizational structures. Professional Alignment Micro-Credentials provide focused education that supports role readiness when specialized context is needed.

These offerings align professionals to the environments they serve, reinforcing confidence, clarity, and informed decision making without requiring full program enrollment.

The TMGU course flow reflects how successful Provider Lifecycle Professionals build careers. Each level builds on the last, supporting growth from foundational understanding to applied practice, professional validation, and leadership.

Certification is an important milestone, but it is part of a much larger professional story. At TMG University, education is designed to grow with your career. We focus on developing confident, capable professionals who are prepared to succeed throughout their careers and contribute meaningfully to the field.
